M2 Paratrooper Helmet
M2 Paratrooper Helmet
The iconic US M2 WW2 paratrooper helmet. With its half-moon fixed chinstraps, it was the early headgear of the US paratrooper during World War II. It was quickly replaced by traditional M1 models and then by its successor, the M1C.

M2 Paratrooper Helmet
The M1C helmet is the parachitist's indispensable gear. It protects him from debris, sun and rain. But it is also used in everyday life as a basin for shaving or as a saucepan when times are hard.

M2 Paratrooper Helmet paint
This complete M2 paratrooper helmet version is painted using a paint based on the shade used between 1936 and 1944 by the US army. Being matte in nature, it will tend to become satin with time and wear, just like the original helmets.
-
M2 Paratrooper Helmet texture
The M2 paratrooper helmet shell is coated with a "cork" texture in order to be as close as possible to the original models. This coating was used to break up the soldier's silhouette and reduce sun reflections.

M2 Paratrooper Helmet chinstrap
The M2 helmet shell was an essential component for American soldiers during World War II. It fits over the M1 liner and protects the soldier from debris, sun, and rain. It also served as a basin for shaving and a cooking pot in difficult times in everyday life.
