Reproduction of the early war type (1941-1943) US M1 helmet chinstrap with its raised bar buckle. Ready to be sewn onto your fixed or swivel bail M1 helmet. This chinstrap for the US M1 helmet will make a nice addition to a representative early war M1 helmet. The strap of the chinstrap is made of thick OD No. 3 (sand) cotton, and the hardware is made of metal. An essential component of the US M1 helmet, although often worn hanging from the back of the helmet or in the camouflage netting.
