Discover our surplus compressed fiber helmet liner, originally from Germany in the 1960s, perfect for military history buffs and World War II enthusiasts. This helmet liner is an exact replica of the M1 model developed and used by the US Army at that time, with one notable difference: the neck piece is sewn and cannot be removed.

The helmet liner was sandblasted to remove the previous layers of paint, then repainted with several coats of Indian Olive Drab. It features its own headband and a leather chin strap made by Mon Casque M1.

This helmet liner is perfectly suited to most US and European helmets copied from the American model, and will easily fit yours. Made from quality materials and intended for the military, this helmet liner is designed to last and stand the test of time.

Fiber Infantry Liner

The US M1 fiber liner was developed and manufactured during World War II in response to the needs of American soldiers. The design of this liner was inspired by the construction worker's helmet and American football, which had already proven their effectiveness in terms of shock protection. Made from layers of cotton fiber, the US M1 fiber liner provided lightweight and robust protection while being easy to mass-produce. The liner was widely used during the war and became an icon of the American uniform.
